Trump’s Trade War Strikes Again: Tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and China Incoming!

Donald Trump has officially confirmed that new tariffs on Mexico and Canada will go into effect on March 4, along with an additional 10% tariff on Chinese imports.

Previously, the U.S. had paused 25% tariffs on Mexican and Canadian imports for a month, causing speculation about whether they would return. However, Trump put an end to the uncertainty with a Truth Social post, stating that the tariffs will proceed as planned.

"Unacceptable Drug Flow" to the U.S.

Trump justified the decision by claiming that illegal drugs from Mexico and Canada are still entering the U.S. at "unacceptable levels." He emphasized, “We cannot allow this destruction to continue. These tariffs will take effect on March 4 as scheduled unless the situation changes dramatically.”

China Hit With More Tariffs

In addition to Mexico and Canada, Trump also took aim at China, confirming that Beijing will face an extra 10% tariff on its exports to the U.S., adding to the existing 10% tariff already in place.

With trade tensions escalating once again, global markets are bracing for potential disruptions.
